F1 cars: Ultimate Technology

An f1 car is different from a normal road car we see…in terms of design…stickers all around it…and speed is what is the most thrilling part of it. The business around an f1 car is shiny, rich and it’s an international sport in the end. So the f1 car needs to be fast enough to be the fastest and if it can be more fast then it’s all welcome.

In fact, an f1 car at 160 kmph can generate enough down force through its front and rear wings that the force equals its weight and it can run on the ceiling of a tunnel upside down. the aerodynamics of an f1 car is designed to act so that it can push the car down to the road rather than then push it up like that in the case of a plane. The extra tenths that a good aero design can bring you will only be useful if you have the engine package in the car to go with it.

With 7 gears, the engine and the car can get up to a top speed of 210mph, they produce about 800 brake horse power and can rev to 19,000rpm.one interesting fact is that in a street course race like the Monaco grand prix, the down force provides enough suction to lift manhole covers. Before the race all of the manhole covers on the streets have to be welded down to prevent this from happening. now back to that amazing 800 brake horse power the car houses a steering wheel which other than steering and having a paddle shift gear selection, a small lcd, and a radio….the whole steering costs a whooping 40000$…and also it has to be removed before the driver gets in because its literally bolting out in his face.

The equipment list for the crew to bring along is long and has spare parts, front and back wings, replacement body parts, spare noses, and a spare engine. And finally if the dung hits the fan then a T-car which is whole new replacement car.

Now after this I wonder that >>>the engines which produce 210mph and 7 gear box and brakes equivalent of a retardation of hitting a brick wall at 300kph…and also don’t forget the tyres which run for 90-120kms,filled with nitrogen and give best grips at 900-1200c<<<…who pays for it..Well the stickers over the whole body are the answer. All this equipment costs buckets and buckets of money. The majority of teams are backed by road car manufacturers, which means new technologies, can be passed in either direction.

The paddle shift gear was an F1 invention – and is now available as standard on some top range sports cars. It’s all supplemented by sponsors, and they are who really dictate what colors the cars are going to be. You can understand why Ferrari and Vodafone made such a great partnership, with their main brand colors both being red. With sponsor names scrawled across the bodywork, and all the nooks and crannies, angles and wings, F1 cars aren’t your normal kind of beauty. But they hold a certain fascination about them that will only grow the more you watch.
