Well, its late but its time I reviewed it. Its all about Desperate Housewives on MyFray now. Desperate Housewives is an American television comedy-drama series, created by Marc Cherry and he also serves as the show runner. The show is produced by ABC Studios and Cherry Productions. In the fourth season the Executive producers are Marc Cherry, Bob Daily, George W. Perkins, John Pardee and Joey Murphy, David Grossman, Larry Shaw and Sabrina Wind. That many producers?? Well anyway I guess it shows the popularity of Desperate Housewives.

The scenario of this show is on the street of Wisteria Lane in the fictional American town of Fairview, Eagle State. It follows the lives of a group of women, seen through the eyes of their dead neighbor (hmm…thats interesting!), as they plough through their domestic struggles to balance family life. It shows the raging torrent that lies beneath the lives of these women while at the surface it seems beautiful, placid and a perfect suburban neighborhood. It is a totally awesome birds-eye view of the modern day sedentry lives we live.

Desperate Housewives features some stunning cast members, headed by Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Van de Kamp, Eva Longoria Parker (she’s my favorite) as Gabrielle Solis, Nicollette Sheridan as Edie Britt (Season 1 – 5) and Dana Delany as Katherine Mayfair (Season 4 – present). Brenda Strong narrates the show as the deceased Mary Alice Young, appearing sporadically in flashbacks or dreams.

Since Desperate Housewives premiere on ABC on October 3, 2004, the show has had no shortage of accolades. It has been well received by the critics. And adored by the audience. The list of award for the show are- multiple Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award winner, and in April 2007 it was reported to be the most popular show in its demographic worldwide, with an audience of approximately 115 to 119 million viewers!!! If you make a show, this is how it is got to be.
