Kaka Ditches Financially Struggling Milan For Real Madrid
Kaka to Real Madrid
Ricardo Kaka has finally made the switch from AC Milan to Real Madrid. The Spanish media had began to claim that a €65 million transfer for acquiring Kaka had been as good as done for some time. It was now that it has finally been confirmed by Real Madrid and AC Milan.
Ricardo Kaka moves in with the Galacticos as they attempt to get an edge over their bitter rivals in the league by the name of Barcelona. I think that Ricardo Kaka might as well be the edge that Real Madrid have been looking for to defeat the supremacy held by The Catalans.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez had earlier promised when he was newly posted that he would bring big names to Real Madrid and restore it to its former glory. The typical Real Madrid approach for victory has always been about buying out the best players in the market. Somewhat snobby! Anyways, Perez had Ricardo Kaka as the first player on his Galacticos list and not surprisingly. Cristiano Ronaldo is the next in the sights of Real Madrid (frustrating for Manchester United fans, it is for me).
In what I think is really sad, Ricardo Kaka also said at the press conference that the world financial crisis had affected Milan badly and at the board meeting it was mutually agreed that it would be best for everyone to sell him to Real Madrid.
With the Brazilian forward in Real Madrid, AC Milan issued the following statement-
“From next season, Kaka will play at Real Madrid. Milan thank Kaka the man and the great champion for his decisive contribution to the many victories over the last six years.
“It will be very difficult to fill the void that Kaka will leave, as he is a shining example of commitment and professionalism. A. C. Milan, on behalf of the Rossoneri managers, players and supporters, send him the most cordial and affectionate wishes for the continuation of his sporting career.”
In the press conference, Kaka was asked about the No. 5 jersey. Kaka was expected to take over the No. 5 jersey donned by the football’s greatest Zinedine Zidane, “it would be a big responsibility” is what Kaka has reasoned.
“Together we will win many titles and become champions of Spain and Europe.” Ricardo said.
Kaka also told that it was no other than his ex-team mate David Beckham who gave him advice on the switch to the Spanish Giants. Finally, he admitted that the deal had been closed “a long time ago”, but he decided to wait until the clubs had released an official statement. Like he had a choice.
However, it is generally seen that big stars in Real Madrid fail to shine like they did in their previous clubs. Will Ricardo Kaka be one of them is question to be answered. One thing is sure that this Brazilian playmaker, Kaka is definitely a talent in modern football.
