“Barack Obama as a person is a fantastic individual but ‘Barack Obama’ as an idea marks an evolutionary flashpoint for humanity,” said actor Will Smith (Independence Day) while he and his wife,  actress Jada Pinkett-Smith, were in Oslo to witness the American President receive the Nobel Peace Prize. “It’s a fantastic historical evnt,” Smith said. Will Smith feels he had to “absolutely positively” be a part of the event.

Will Smith is admittedly an Obama fan, and responded (in the affirmative) to Obama’s comments that he would like Smith to play him in a movie.

“I’ve got the ears – that’s what it is,” said Will Smith, who feels that ears have historically attracted Americans, and he cites Abraham Lincoln, Goofy and Micky Mouse as examples of big-eared stalwarts of American history.

Also, small ears don’t appeal much to Americans, said Smith.

“The chicks don’t dig that,” he joked.
