Artie Lange’s Suicide Attempt

Popular comedian Artie Lange made a suicide attempt with nine self-inflicted stab wounds. He is currently hospitalized. He inflicted the wounds on himself apparently from a thirteen inches, Wolf-gang Pucker kitchen shelf knife.

Lange was known to have huge drug problems as we understood from his memoir “Too Fat to Fish“.

Artie Lange is a famous comedian who is the side-kick for Howard Sterns on his radio show.

He also had a girlfriend. Dana Sironi was Artie Lange’s long time girlfriend. He had an on-off relationship with her. They began dating in early spring 2002.

Perhaps the most controversial part in Artie’s career was on June 15, 2009 where Lange made an extremely controversial appearance on HBO’s Joe Buck Live. Lange made several obscene and derogatory, but funny comments directed towards homosexuals and even to Joe Buck himself. Thereafter, HBO went on to issue a formal apology and Lange has apologized publicly as well. Also, Joe Buck came on to clarify that he was not offended in any way. Artie Lange’s gimmicks on the Joe Buck Live made TIME’s list of “Top 10 Awkward Moments of 2009.

Most of his fans are hurt at his suicide attempt and many entertainment writers sadly share the grim details of this unfortunate incident.
