What I think of Matt Damon in Green Zone Movie

Green Zone movie with Matt Damon in the lead, there was a lot of hype regarding this movie. But did the audience really like Green Zone.

Green Zone has a very interesting theme for the movie. It is based in the 2003 war which US declared on the Saddam dictated Iraq. It was claimed that US attacked Iraq because of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) which they though Saddam harbored in his country. However, there was no WMD to be found, Green Zone is based on the same topic.

Matt Damon while searching for WMD in Iraq begins to smell something fishy as there were no weapons to be found and they he starts to search for answers. Although the theme of the movie is interesting, it lacked the engaging experience to the audience. Matt Damon remained the key part of this movie but was not able to totally engross us in the savage experience that civilians and soldiers undergo during war.

As far as eye-candy was concerned, the movie has no one attractive to feast your eyes upon. It could be the realistic touch that Greengrass wanted to add. Because after all how many babes would like to come to a country that is on the brink of civil war!

All in all, the movie can definitely be given a watch once. However, Green Zone is no where close to the block-buster Bourne Series that Matt Damon has done. Still, the acting was good and the movie was able to hold fort for the running time of 1hour 45 minutes.

Avatar Movie Breaks US DVD Sales Record

Avatar the movie has broken the US DVD sales record selling 6.7 million DVDs and Blu-Ray Discs in 4 days! Avatar has bagged the record for the fastest selling home entertainment release.

James Cameron’s 3d sci-fi movie’s DVD was released on April 22. In 6.7 million sales, Avatar sold 4 million DVDs and 2.7 million Blu-rays.

The sales has brought in $130m (£84.1m). The previous record for the highest sales of DVD and Blu-Ray discs was held by Batman: The Dark Knight.

In the UK, Avatar is being released on 26 April. Considering the level of excitement and expected sales there are many stores in the UK which opened up in mid-night.

James Cameron has announced that there will be a Summer re-release of Avatar. The re-release of Avatar mixes live action with digitally-created performances, the re-release will come with an extra six minutes of footage. Also, talking about the sequel of Avatar, James Cameron said that the film would be centred around the ocean on the planet Pandora.
