Death Threats Force Censoring Of South Park

Tery Parker and Matt Stone have always been fearless about their views on what so ever, whether it was in their movie like Team America: World Police or South Park- the highly popular comedy central show. But some heavy threats have lead to a huge uproar and the show has been censored more than required.

The show has been going strong for a decade. It is currently in its 14th season. Every single season has countless jaw dropping moments and statements like “how they got away with this?”. South Park might be closing in mid of first half of 14th season. Their plan was to do it with an epic multi- episode story arcs. But in eyes of some the show appears to have gone too far. The current story brings all the celebrities they have gone after including the Muslim Prophet Muhammad. They have so far kept him in a mascot costume to keep him from being seen but nevertheless a Muslim based group in New York isn’t happy. In a statement by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the following was said-

“In the 14 years we’ve been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn’t stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn’t some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle’s customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn’t mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We’ll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we’ll see what happens to it.”

If these guys had it their way they would have aired all the episodes without censoring it, as they delivered it to comedy central. The network wasn’t trying to step down so much. They were just trying to safeguard everyone’s rights. Even then the episode was aired and who knows what’s more to come.

So if anyone want’s to know what’s going on with South Park, then this is what is happening. The show has always gone off limit, but here the situation is that the laughs is just not worth the risk. Thankfully John Stewart is always there to share his thoughts on stuff like this!

Archie Comics Introduces First Openly Gay Character!

The legendary and lovable Archie Comics has just introduced an openly gay character in their series. The name of this gay character in Archie Comics is Kevin Keller. Once the news of this was released, it has spread like wildfire and the internet searches for Kevin Keller have gone through the roof.

Once the news was launched in the Archie Comics official website,

Archie Comics co-chief executive Jon Goldwater said on the website said, “It just makes sense to have an openly gay character in Archie comic books”. This news has come as a shock to some while others have taken it in a different angle of entertainment.

Some furious Archie fans commented to this news,

That’s nice, poison the minds of our youth even more. What’s next, Betty is going to have an abortion? Reggie becomes a Muslim? This country is losing it’s moral values more & more everyday.

While others are thinking that the introduction of openly gay, Kevin Keller in Archie Comics will make it a more interesting read. Let’s see how Archie and his gang get along with Kevin Keller. But it is really a point to think about on how this will affect the young readers that these comics have.

Whether you like it or not, Riverdale is going to have a resident gay and one cannot predict whether this move will be successful or affect the circulation of Archie comics.
