Dailyblogtips Poised to Grab Problogger Readership
Sunday, May 17th, 2009Darren Rowse, the internet wide acclaimed “pro-blogger” may well be having some competition that can finally overtake his market share on blogging newbies who look to monetize their blog. And who else than Daniel Scocco, who seems to be the most ready currently to take over the “blog-tips” domination of the web from Darren.

Darren Rowse (Founder-Problogger.com)

Daniel Scocco Founder- (Dailyblogtips.com)
Here is a comparison of the recent site stats between Darren Rowse’s Problogger.com and Daniel Scocco’s Dailyblogtips.com-
1. Problogger Alexa Rank- 4,088 and Dailyblogtips Alexa rank- 12,623
2. Problogger has 8734 sites linking in while Dailyblogtips has 4873 sites linking in.
3. Pageviews/User: Problogger- 1.9 and Dailyblogtips- 1.6
4. Problogger is searched for the following keywords-
Dailyblogtips is popular for the following keywords-
- studiopress
- ping list
- seo blogs
- daily blog tips
- wordpress themes
- seo quake
- web design blogs
- blog promotion
- blog tips
- ping services
5. Both have Page Rank 6
6. Average Time on Site: Problogger- 2.8 min/day and Dailyblogtips- 2 min/day
From the above stats is clear that Problogger simply blows away Dailyblogtips as a competition but what I would like to assert is that this domination is temporary. I am guessing this due to a few key facts that exist between these blogs.
Problogger is a blog which is 4.5 years old while Dailyblogtips is only 2.6 years old at the time of this post. Yet, Dailyblogtips is the same Google pagerank of 6 as is Problogger. With time, Dailyblogtips can only be expected to improve here.
Dailyblogtips is having the half the link ins as Problogger and even the Alexa ranking is twice as low. However, time is a factor in these stats. Problogger acheived this in a span of 4 years when his niche wasn’t popular. Considering this Dailyblogtips is growing at a faster rate than Problogger.
Dailyblogtips has got more search engine ranking in most searched keywords such as “blog tips”, “blog promotion” and “wordpress themes”.
Personally, I hate how Darren Rowse keeps his blog homepage. It is so congested and difficult to navigate. Moreover, it also tends to have a longer page load time. The homepage now gives me an impression that Problogger is trying to fool you into buying something off his page. In direct comparison, if you download Dailyblogtips homepage, it is almost 80% faster. It has a three column, clean white template with demarcated advertisement and allocated navigation links. Simple yet effective, his blog is certainly more attractive and readable that Darren’s Problogger.
Overall, the content of both the blogs are pretty interesting but Darren gets too commercial and Daniel manages to underplay the paid ads in posts. If there is anyone capable of matching up to the standards of Darren, for me it seems that Daniel is the person.
