I am getting to feel really unsafe now, hackers with a capital H have hacked the Twitter accounts of Barrack Obama and Britney Spears, along with many other high profilers. Twitter is a popular micro-blogging service. A total of 33 high-profile Twitter accounts have been reported by Twitter to be hacked.
As we usher into the new year with the weights of recession still heavy on our backs from 2008 I still wonder whether it was the right time for me to start a blog. But a blog is perhaps one of those things that are recession-proof. A lot like the entertainment industry, even with the movie tickets priced at a premium the movie halls were packed for the film ‘Ghajini’ an Aamir Khan starrer. This is Indian film industry- Bollywood, it is just for the information of my readers from abroad, who may not be aware.
The wall clock is almost clocking midnight as I type this post sipping a glass of Tropicana orange juice, I prefer it late at night than in the morning. No, this post is not for a very powerful statement to be delivered. It is just one of those posts that I write on my blog, to c0nnect and maintain a very informal and personal interaction. Looking at the fog outside of my window on this wintry night in Delhi, today I feel like talking about my passion behind maintaining a blog.
Blogging and It’s Professional Hazard!
Now there are a few people who readily consider Blogging as more of a profession rather than a passion or a hobby. I don’t know if this news is too stale for you but surely it would not be cold tea for everyone who reads it. Unfortunately, it has only met my eye now. Egypt has caused a great deal of hysteria following the arrest of the blogger Abdel Kareem Soliman, 22 which is a news dated as February, 22nd, 2007. He blogged under the name of Kareem Amer!
To Blog or Not to Blog…that is the question!
Now a day’s it is in fashion to do only what you love as your profession. I definitely want to follow suit but in a third-world country like ours, you have to keep your love as a side-line and try to amalgamate the two things- your love and compulsion to finally end up with something that satisfies you. I like to write and yes, I am working on my book (barely!) but writing can help you with lot of other things. Such as, it helps me write this blog that as of now, very few people read.
