Cry Wolf- Theatrical Poster
So as I promised you guys I am going to write about another movie that released in 2005. I just watched this a couple of days back. This may really turn off hardcore movie buffs who follow each movie as they are released. But for the few of us, movies are like the rains that grace the Kandahar desert (any desert for that matter!). Very rare and a refreshing change from the usual scenario of our lives.
I watched the movie Cry Wolf . The genre for Cry Wolf is murder mystery. And guess who stars in the movie…it is none other than Jon Bon Jovi. That was really an eye-opener. Anyways, as I began watching the movie I felt my worst fears were coming true as the plot was getting too predictable. Then the movie takes a rocking twist that finally got me interested in the movie.
Also, I did not recognize any actor/actress in the movie other than Bon Jovi who does the role of Journalism Professor. The Its My Life singer looked at total ease with the role and I personally enjoyed his acting. Funnily, Bon Jovi looked like some character from Harry Potter.

The movie was made with One million dollar budget exact. The reason is that the director of the film Jeff Wadlow used his million dollar prize money that he won in the 2002 Chrysler Film Competition. Incase, you can recall, Jeff Wadlow is the same guy who also directed the movie Never Back Down after Cry Wolf.

Well, the investment paid off I guess because the movie grossed a total of $15,585,821 worldwide!
The movie I felt was winding up quite unpredicatably, it seems that the story had its biggest surprise saved for the end. It was a very creative story that was directed okay. But again, I would not consider watching this film in a movie hall (if it was the year 2005 obviously). So check out the movie on DVD if you have not yet seen it.
